The Americana Music Academy

Located at 1419 Massachusetts Street.

From I-70:

Get off at the East Lawrence exit (#204).
Turn left (south) and continue until you cross over the river. (The road divides into separate bridges for the northbound and southbound lanes).
Once you cross over the river, you will be on Vermont Street.
Continue south five blocks to 11th street.
Turn left. Go one block east on 11th to Massachusetts Street.
Turn right on Massachusetts. Go south 3 1/2 blocks.
Americana will be on your right, across the
street from the Junior High School.

From the east via K-10:

Take K-10 (23rd Street) to Massachusetts and turn right.
Go north on Massachusetts about a mile and a quarter.
Americana Music Academy will be on your left, across the
street from the Junior High School.

Carnegie Library Building
(the old Lawrence Arts Center):

Located on the northwest corner of Ninth and Vermont.

From I-70:

From the east via K-10:

Take K-10 (23rd Street) to Massachusetts and turn right.
Go north on Massachusetts about two miles to 9th street and turn left.
Go one block west on 9th Street to Vermont.
The Carnegie Library Building is on your right, across the intersection.

The Community Building

From the east via K-10:

Take K-10 (23rd Street) to Massachusetts and turn right.
Go north on Massachusetts not quite two miles to 11th Street and turn left.
Go one block west on 11th Street to Vermont.
The Community Building is on your left. Make a left turn into its parking lot.

The Douglas County Fairgrounds

Located at 20th & Harper, on the east side of Lawrence.

From I-70:

Get off at the East Lawrence exit (#204).
Turn left (south) and continue until you cross over the river. (The road divides into separate bridges for the northbound and southbound lanes).
Once you cross over the river, you will be on Vermont Street.
Continue south five blocks to 11th Street.
Turn left on 11th Street. Go one block east to Massachusetts Street.
Turn right on Massachusetts Street and go south 8 blocks to 19th Street.
Turn left on 19th Street and go east about 1 1/4 miles to Harper.
Turn right on Harper and go one block south.
Turn left into the fairgrounds complex.

From the east via K-10:

Take K-10 (23rd Street) to Harper (near the east edge of Lawrence) and turn right.
Go north three blocks on Harper.
Turn right into the fairgrounds complex.

ECM

The Ecumenical Christian Ministries building, located at 1204 Oread, at the northeast end of the KU campus.

From I-70:

Get off at the East Lawrence exit (#204).
Turn left (south) and continue until you cross over the river. (The road divides into separate bridges for the northbound and southbound lanes).
Once you cross over the river, you will be on Vermont Street.
Continue south on Vermont five blocks to 11th Street and turn right.
Go west two blocks on 11th Street to Tennessee (one way) and turn left.
Go south on Tennessee one block to 12th Street and turn right.
Go west two blocks on 12th Street to Oread (at the top of the hill).
Turn left on Oread. The ECM building is immediately on your left.

From the east via K-10:

Take K-10 (23rd Street) to Massachusetts and turn right.
Go north on Massachusetts one and a quarter miles to 13th street and turn left.
Go west on 13th street 5 blocks to Oread (at the top of the hill) and turn right.
The ECM building is on your right hand side at the far end of the block.

East Lawrence Recreation Center

The East Lawrence Recreation Center is at 1245 East 15th Street in Lawrence.

Once you cross over the river, you will be on Vermont Street.
Continue south on Vermont five blocks to 11th Street and turn left.
Go west on 11th Street just under one mile to Haskell.
Turn right on Haskell and go south 1/2 mile to 15th Street.
Turn left on 15th Street. The rec center will be on your right a few blocks east on 15th.

From the east via K-10:

Take K-10 (23rd Street) to Haskell and turn right.
Go north on Haskell one mile to 15th Street and turn right.
The rec center will be on your right a few blocks east on 15th.

Hashinger Hall

Hashinger Hall is located at 1632 Engel Road, and is the middle building among the five residence halls atop Daisy Hill on the west side of the University of Kansas in Lawrence.

From I-70:

Get off I-70 (the Kansas Turnpike) at the West Lawrence exit (#202).
Proceed south on Iowa about a mile and a quarter to 15th Street.
Turn left on 15th Street and proceed to the intersection with Engel Road at the crest of the hill. Turn right on Engel Road. You will pass Templin residence hall on your right and Nunemaker Center (a smaller building) and Lewis residence hall on your left before you reach Hashinger Hall, which is the second brick residence hall on your left. Outside the hours of 8am to 5pm M-F, you can park in the lots on your right.

From the east via K-10:

Take K-10 (23rd Street) to Iowa Street (US-59) and turn right.
Turn right Iowa and proceed north 1 mile to 15th Street.

Located at 1307 Jayhawk Blvd, at the northeast end of the KU Campus Includes the Hawks' Nest, Woodruff Auditorium, and the Ballroom.

Once you cross over the river, you will be on Vermont Street.
Continue south on Vermont five blocks to 11th Street and turn right.

Go west two blocks on 12th Street to Oread (at the top of the hill).

From the east via K-10:

Turn left (south) and continue until you cross over the river. (The road divides into separate bridges for the northbound and southbound lanes).
Once you cross over the river, you will be on Vermont Street.
Continue south on Vermont three blocks to 9th Street and turn left.
Go two blocks east on 9th Street to New Hampshire Street, and turn right.
The Lawrence Arts Center will be on your left about half way up the block.
There is free parking on the lower levels of the parking garage on your right.

From K-10:

Take K-10 (23rd Street) to Massachusetts and turn right.
Go north on Massachusetts about two miles to 9th street and turn right.
Go one block east on 9th to New Hampshire and turn right again.
The Lawrence Arts Center will be on your left shortly after 9th street.
There is free parking on the lower levels of the parking garage on your right.

The Lawrence Public Library

Located on the southwest corner of Seventh and Vermont.

From I-70:

From K-10:

Take K-10 (23rd Street) to Massachusetts and turn right.
Go north on Massachusetts about two miles to 8th street and turn left.
Go one block west on 8th Street to Vermont. Turn right on Vermont,
and the library will be on your left at the end of the block.

Lawrence/Douglas County Senior Center

The Lawrence / Douglas County Senior Center Located on the northwest corner of Eighth and Vermont.
(745 Vermont Street)

From I-70:

From K-10:

Take K-10 (23rd Street) to Massachusetts and turn right.
Go north on Massachusetts about two miles to 8th street and turn left.
Go one block west on 8th Street to Vermont. The Senior Center is just across Vermont on the right hand side of the intersection. There is a large parking lot just north of the Senior Center, accessible from Vermont Street.

New York Elementary School:

New York School Located on east side of New York Street
between 9th and 10th Streets, a few blocks
east of downtown Lawrence.

From I-70:

Get off at the East Lawrence exit (#204).
Turn left (south) and continue until you cross over the river. (The road divides into separate bridges for the northbound and southbound lanes).
Once you cross over the river you will be on Vermont Street.
Continue south three blocks to 9th Street. Turn left on 9th Street.
Go east five blocks to New York Street. New York School parking There are two parking lots.
Either:
    Continue one half block to the alley.
    Turn right. Proceed south to the parking lot.
or:
    Continue one block east to New Jersey.
    Turn Right.
    Proceed south to the driveway to the
    playground/parking lot on your right.

From the east via K-10:

Take K-10 (23rd Street) to Massachusetts and turn right.
Go north on Massachusetts about two miles to 9th street and turn right.
Go four blocks east on 9th Street to New York Street.
There are two parking lots. Either:
    Continue one half block to the alley.
    Turn right. Proceed south to the parking lot.
or:
    Continue one block east to New Jersey.
    Turn Right.
    Proceed south to the driveway to the playground/parking lot on your right.

St Margaret's Episcopal Church

St Margarets Episcopal Church is located west of Wakarusa Drive on 6th Street/Hwy 40 on the west edge of Lawrence.

From I-70:

Get off I-70 (the Kansas Turnpike) at the Lecompton exit (#197).
Proceed south on K-10/the South Lawrence Trafficway to 6th Street / Highway 40.
After exiting the trafficway, turn left onto 6th Street / Highway 40.
Go east on 6th Street / Highway 40 about a half mile.
Turn into St Margarets Church parking lot on your left.

From the east via K-10:

Take K-10 (23rd Street) through all the way through Lawrence to Wakarusa Drive.
Turn right on Wakarusa Drive, and go north about two miles to 6th Street.
Turn left on 6th Street / Hwy 40.
Go west about 3/4 mile on 6th Street / Hwy 40.
Turn right into the St Margarets Church parking lot.

South Park

Located on Massachusetts Street, between 11th and 13th streets.

From I-70:

Get off at the East Lawrence exit (#204).
Turn left (south) and continue until you cross over the river. (The road divides into separate bridges for the northbound and southbound lanes).
Once you cross over the river, you will be on Vermont Street.
Continue south five blocks to 11th street, then turn left.
Go one block east on 11th to Massachussetts Street and turn right.
The park is a short block straight ahead.
Most events are in the east half of the park (with the gazebo), to your left.

From the east via K-10:

Take K-10 (23rd Street) to Massachusetts and turn right.
Go north on Massachusetts about a mile and a half to 13th Street.

Stony Point Barn

Download a map to Stony Point Barn in .pdf (Adobe Acrobat) format. The actual address is 1514 N 600 Rd., but N 600 road is just another name for Douglas County Highway 460 (DG460). The barn sits on a hillside to the north of the road, 200 yards up a gravel drive.

From Lawrence:

Go south on US-59 (Iowa Street in Lawrence) from 23rd street.
After 7.7 miles (1/4 mile past a blue water tower on your right),
turn left on N650 Road (DG460 Hwy). Stay on the blacktop road,
following DG460 east/south/east three miles to the bottom of a long,
steep hill. At the bottom of the hill, Stony Point Hall (and Barn)
will be the first driveway on your left (1514 N 600 Road).

From southern Kansas City:

Take I-435 west to K-10.
Go west on K-10 to DG (Douglas County) Hwy 1061 at Eudora.
Exit and turn left on DG 1061.
Go south six miles to DG460 and turn right.
Go west 5 miles on DG460 to Vinland.
Turn left on combined DG460/1055.
Go south 1 mile to where DG460 & DG1055 split.
Turn right on DG460, and the barn will be just under two miles ahead on the right hand side.

From I-70:

Get off I-70 at the West Lawrence exit (#202).
Go south on US-59 (Iowa Street in Lawrence).
After about 11 miles (1/4 mile past a blue water tower on your right),

Unity of Lawrence

Unity Church is located at the corner of 9th and Madeline Lane in Lawrence.

From I-70:

Proceed south on Iowa about a half mile to 9th Street.
Turn right on 9th Street and proceed west about 3/8 of a mile to Madeline Lane.
The church is on your left.

From the east via K-10:

Take K-10 (23rd Street) to Iowa Street (US-59) and turn right.
Turn right Iowa and proceed north 1 3/4 miles to 9th Street.
Turn left on 9th Street and proceed west about 3/8 of a mile to Madeline Lane.
The church is on your left.

The Vinland Fairgrounds

1736 N 700 Rd, about 9 miles southeast of Lawrence in Vinland, Kansas

From Lawrence:

Go south on Haskell Avenue /E 1500 Rd / DG 1055) to DG 458 / N1000 Rd.
(about 3 miles south of K-10)
Turn left onto DG 458 / N1000 Rd. Go east one mile to DG 1055 / E1600 Rd.
Turn right onto DG 1055 / E1600 Rd. Go south 3.2 miles.
Follow the curve to the left onto N700 Rd.
Go east on N 700 Rd eight tenths of a mile, through Vinland
The fairgrounds and barn will be on your left.

From I-70:

Get off I-70 at the West Lawrence exit (#202).
Go south on US-59 (Iowa Street in Lawrence) about seven miles to the DG 458 / N 1000 Rd exit.
Take the exit, then turn left onto DG 458 / N 1000 Rd.
Go three miles east on DG 458 / N 1000 Rd to DG 1055 / E1600 Rd.
Turn right onto DG 1055 / E1600 Rd. Go south 3.2 miles.
Follow the curve to the left onto N700 Rd.
Go east on N 700 Rd eight tenths of a mile, through Vinland.

The Watkins Community Museum

Go north on Massachusetts not quite two miles to 11th Street.
The museum is on your left, just across 11th Street.

Woodlawn School:

Located at 508 Elm, north of the river in North Lawrence. Elm Street is one-way, eastbound.

From I-70:

Get off at the East Lawrence exit (#204).
Turn left (south) and continue until you go under
the railroad viaduct and then come to a stop light,
with the river bridges ahead of you.
Turn left at the stop light, onto Locust.
Go three blocks east to 5th Street, and turn right.
Go one block south to Elm, and turn left. (Elm is
a one-way street). The school will then be on
your right.

From the east via K-10:

Take K-10 (23rd Street) to Massachusetts and turn right.
Go north on Massachusetts about two miles and a half miles,
until you cross over the river at the north end of downtown.
Immediately across the river, turn right onto Elm Street.
Go east three blocks to 5th Street, and Woodlawn School
will be on your right. If you miss the turn onto Elm, you can
take the next street, Locust, instead, and cut back south at
5th street.
